And a Princess turns TWO

It's hard to believe that it's already been two years since this little one miraculously joined our family.
She pretty much runs things around here.
She's got everybody wrapped around her little finger.
Lately, she obsessed with Princess Sophia.
 And, of course, Dora.
 She is a little wild.
 And very vocal.
She has the language skills of at least a 3 year old...
 and makes her demands known.
She loves to kiss Julia Mei's picture and obsess over her little pigtail...and says "NO" to Jacob's picture.

 My, how she's grown.
We love you Princess Ellianna!

Blog Hop--Fundraising for a Cause

Welcome to my blog hop!  What a great time of the year to get some shopping done while supporting an awesome cause.  Join our fundraiser HERE through the end of October. We are thrilled to be going back to China to adopt two children this time around, a boy and a girl with similar special needs. Both kiddos are one and in different provinces.  I just found out that travel will be 18-20 days total, plus the flights there and back.  I'm going to miss my at-home babies! We are planning to travel in December.  About us:  we are both special education teachers and are honored to be able to parent the four children that we have.  We adopted our son Christian in 2010 from China, and we are THRILLED to be going back.  He was just explaining to his friend today that his new little buddy brother is going to have an arm just like his, and that his little brother and sister will have little legs that kind of look like his arm. We haven't yet explained to Christian that his sister will need an amputation first. Both of our new babies are so perfectly made, and we are so ready to hold them in our arms.

Christian tells me every day how much he loves this family.

I am one lucky Mama, let me tell you.

Trio of Shopping Opportunities to Raise Funds for Orphanage Donations and Travel!

A wonderful adoptive mom as set up 3 fundraisers for us. If you'd like to join the Facebook Event page please do!  Click on the

Facebook Trio of Shopping Opportunities--Virtual Event

through the month of October. Please invite your friends!

This family is in the process of adopting two children from China. Julia Mei is 15 months old and Jacob is 17 months old. Jacob is missing his wrist and hand and on the same side he is also missing his leg above the knee. Julia Mei has 2 fingers fused together that look like a bubble, and it looks like Amniotic Band Syndrome on her leg. She will likely need a below the knee leg amputation once she arrives in the USA. Due to the expense to adopt internationally we often must call on our "village" to help us! Let's bless this family by helping them with their travel expenses as they provide the gift of a FOREVER FAMILY to these children which otherwise would not have the hope of a future.

NOW for the specifics of how to help! Christmas is coming in 2 1/2 months! We all have to shop somewhere so why not do it here and help this family! A percent from each sale will be donated to them.

About our girl

She had a beautiful name picked out months ago.  Her middle name will be her Chinese name.

She was a little peanut at birth, smaller than her other 2 adopted brothers.

She is 84 days younger than her BIG brother.  Yes, they are not quite 3 months apart.

At this time, she the same age as Ellie.  Yes, I currently have THREE one year olds.

She likes to eat.  {Note:  she will fit right in.}

She likes to be outside.

She likes to cuddle with her caretakers.

She smiles happily when she sees colorful toys, listens to music, and watches TV.

She will be a future ballerina.  Or perhaps a softball player like her biggest sister.  She will probably play soccer, too.

We can't wait to meet you and snuggle you, little princess.
